The Ways to Inspire Eastern Furnishing and Decorating styles

Eastern decorating styles are inspiring peace, balance and serenity to the space.  Followings are some ways you may need to think about when you want to inspire some eastern styles.

Colors  

One of the most characteristics of eastern style decorating is to use colors.As you may notice many  Chinese interiors, with dominant color of bold red as it represents good luck. While Chinese furniture is typically shiny black lacquered wood. Japanese styles décor are mostly with natural tones of brown, grey and tan. Most eastern style decorating include gold, either as trim or wall color. 

Texture

When thinking of eastern style decorating, mostly people envision natural wood which highly polished. Sometime think of luminous paper surfaces and natural rocks particularly for Japanese style homes. Bamboo and some natural grasses are also used for furniture, picture frame window shades and containers. 

Natural Green

Natural plants and cuttings are also well express eastern style decorating. Bamboo plants in either small or large pots are mostly find in Chinese style home while bonsai plants are mostly found in Japanese style homes. 

Multi purpose furniture          

Multi purpose furniture is prominent for eastern style furnishing and decorating to minimize space, furniture with seating and sleeping in one piece or a wooden cabinet with many drawers provides out-of-sight storage and serves as table top for are good examples. 

Floor covering 

Another way to  inspire of eastern furnishing and decorating is to cover floor with eastern style mats or rugs ie. Japanese use tatami mat or colorful floral wool rug found in mostly Chinese interior . 
 

Windows

Windows help bringing balance into eastern style room. Generally if rooms are furnished or decorated with elaborated furniture or elements, the window should be simple. Alternatively if the color palate is neutral, you might as colorful or patterned on the windows.

 Screens

Floor screens are one of major element of the decor in eastern style interior, the propose of screens can be a window cover, serve as a room divider or to hide an unattractive corner. 
 

Water

A delicate sound of falling water and peaceful look water with fish are prominent in eastern style interiors. Naturally , simplicity and serenity are key and essential and truly authentic eastern style rooms.
